It is the policy of company to comply with the terms of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and subsequent legislation, in order to provide and maintain a healthy and safe working environment. The company also accepts its responsibility to others that may be affected by its activities, others such as temporary workers, contractors, visitors or the general public and will take all reasonably practical steps to ensure their safety.
The Directors of the company are committed to this policy and have set Health and Safety within the same business context as the other business objectives, as they recognise its importance in the ongoing success of the company.
The Directors are committed to continually improving the Health and Safety performance of the company and will set annual improvement targets in order to achieve this.
The Directors are responsible for formulating and implementing the Health & Safety Policy and the Managing Director is responsible for the day-to-day implementation.
The Directors and senior managers consult with the employees of the company, either directly through their safety representatives, on all matters concerning Health & Safety and encourage them to become fully involved. Specifically, they will review this policy, progress towards achieving the annual OH&S objective and other relevant Health & Safety issues.
This policy is communicated to all employees and other interested parties by the most appropriate means, which may include tool box talks, meetings, presentations, letters, memos or emails.
The directors will provide adequate financial and other resources including such equipment, information, training, and supervision to all employees as is necessary to implement the policy and to achieve the stated objectives.
The policy will be updated either when changes in the scale and nature of our operations occur or at least every 12 months
The company will, as necessary, appoint competent persons to assist in meeting its statuary duties.
